Volunteers are the heart of NVGS! As an all-volunteer organization, every member's contribution makes a big difference.

To ensure a successful future, we need members to serve in several key volunteer positions. Many tasks involve just a few hours per month and can be performed from home.

Look over the list of our most critical needs, and then email our Volunteer Coordinator, Sally Perkins, at VicePresident@NapaGenSoc.org. She will connect with you to learn more about your particular interests and match you with the opportunity that best fits.

• Fundraising: Join a committee to strategize new fundraising opportunities.
• Special Events: Plan and carry out the holiday reception, Open Houses, etc.
• Technology and Media: Assist with website, social media, computers, printers.
• Library Facility & Grounds: Join the team dedicated to upkeep of the library.
• Library Staffing: Assist visitors during regular hours and times by appointment.
• Special Library Projects: Work with librarian to index, catalog, digitize, etc.
• New Member Support: Welcome and orient new members to benefits of membership.
• Publicity: Create announcements for newspapers and other organizations.
• Programs: Help arrange online and in-person educational events.
• Newsletter: Assist editor in writing and gathering articles from various sources.
• Research Services: Provide remote or in-person research support to members.
• Board Membership: Explore opportunities to help NVGS grow its mission.
