African-Americans Families In Napa

by Sharon McGriff Payne

Sharon will share her extensive research about black families in Napa during a Zoom presentation sponsored by the Napa Valley Genealogical Society on Feb. 18, 2021. The 45- minute talk will begin at 1:30 pm followed by a Q & A period. Participants are invited to attend a 1:00 social time preceding the talk.

Sharon has made untold stories her life’s work, tenaciously researching and writing about the rich history of African Americans in our community. Her work has exposed stories that were not known, and might not have been known. Sharon’s research, her books, and her newspaper have made a deep impact on our community, giving us exposure to history that must be told.”

Congressman Mike Thompson, April, 2018
